TREE CARE

If you do not plan to put the tree up right away keep it in a protected place until you are ready to bring it in the house. If the tree has been cut more than a day, make a fresh cut about 1/2 inch before placing it in water.

Use hot tap water the first time. Keep the tree stand full of water at all times. Don't add anything to the water. Research has shown that plain tap water is by far the best.

A fresh tree will take up a lot of water the first few days. If a tree runs out of water a seal will form on the trunk. The tree will take up water for about 3 weeks and then stay fresh after that.
